VibeShort: AI short dramas, what they cost and how to cancel
We make TotalShort, a short drama app: we say so wherever it matters. Facts about other apps come from their official App Store and Google Play pages and may change.
In short: VibeShort is an AI short drama app: its App Store listing calls it "AI-powered" and describes "AI-generated tales". It's published by Agile Quadrant Media Limited, a Hong Kong company, arrived on the App Store in February 2026 and already holds 4.7 from 46,267 ratings in the US. It's rated 18+. Downloading is free and the website plays the first episodes of each series; after that you pay with coins or a pass. The US listing shows a "Weekly Pass Pro" at $4.99, $9.99 and $19.99, and the description names a Yearly Pro Pass at $149.99. Bonus coins expire, purchased coins aren't refunded, and subscriptions are cancelled in your Apple or Google settings. Support is by email at [email protected].

What VibeShort is
VibeShort combines "short dramas, reels, TV series, and interactive comic-style stories" in one vertical app [1]. Episodes last 1 to 2 minutes, new dramas arrive daily according to the listing, and you can download episodes to watch offline. The genres are the usual ones for the format: romance, billionaire romance, werewolf fantasy, revenge, time travel, sci-fi and comedy. New to short dramas? Start with what a short drama is.
Is VibeShort AI?
Yes, and it says so. The listing describes VibeShort as "an AI-powered short-drama app" with "AI-generated tales with cinematic visuals" [1]. Its terms of service have a section on "AIGC" (AI-generated content), which they say is "generated based on algorithms and training data, and may not always be accurate" [2]. Searches for "is VibeShort AI" have a clear answer: the app markets itself on it.

Who is behind it
VibeShort's terms, last updated 28 July 2026, name Agile Quadrant Media Limited, with a registered address in Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong [2]. They require users to be 18 or the age of majority where they live, and say minors may only use the service under adult supervision [2].
How much does VibeShort cost?
The prices on the App Store
The US listing shows these in-app purchases (read on 6 October 2026) [1]:
| Purchase | Price |
|---|---|
| Weekly Pass Pro | $4.99, $9.99, $19.99 |
| One-time purchases (coins) | $3.49, $19.99 |
| Yearly Pro Pass (named in the description) | $149.99 a year |
The description itself spells out two plans: "Weekly Pro Pass: Valid for 7 days, $19.99/week, auto-renews at $19.99/week" and "Yearly Pro Pass: Valid for 1 year, $149.99/year" [1]. The cheaper weekly prices appear in the purchase list without saying who gets them. On the Italian store the Weekly Pass Pro is €9.99 or €22.99, with one-time purchases at €2.99 and €3.99 [3].
What the pass includes
The terms say a subscription brings "free viewing, ad free (incentive ads excluded), 1080P resolution" [2]. In other words, the free app has ads, and some ads you choose to watch for rewards stay even with a pass.
Worked examples (assumptions, plain arithmetic)
- Four weeks at $19.99: 4 × $19.99 = $79.96.
- Four weeks at $4.99: 4 × $4.99 = $19.96, if that's the price you're offered.
- The yearly pass, per week: $149.99 ÷ 52 ≈ $2.88, if you watch all year.
- Where they cross: at $19.99 a week, the yearly pass is cheaper from the eighth week (8 × $19.99 = $159.92).
Is VibeShort free?
Partly. The download is free and so are the first episodes. The terms describe two kinds of balance: "gold coins", which you buy, and "bonus", which you earn; gold coins are spent first, then bonus [2].
Bonus coins expire
"There is an expiration date for bonus, please refer to 'My Wallet' for details. After expiration, the bonus will be automatically expired" [2]. So free coins aren't something to save up. Purchased coins don't come with an expiry date in the terms, but they can't be transferred or refunded.
Watching on the website
vibeshort.live plays episodes in the browser. On 6 October 2026, both series we checked played their first 6 episodes for free on the site; from episode 7 the page shows "Continue Watching AI Dramas on VibeShort" and a "Get the App" button [4]. The site doesn't sell passes.
Unofficial copies
Uploads of VibeShort series elsewhere and "mod" versions of the app aren't official. They infringe the creators' rights and are a common route to scams and malware. Our guide to free short dramas covers the legal routes.

Is VibeShort legit and safe?
What we can verify
VibeShort has a named company with a registered address in Hong Kong, terms of service, a privacy policy, a separate payment ("recharge") agreement, a support email and 46,267 ratings on the US App Store [1][2][5]. Payments go through Apple or Google. It's a legitimate business. Searches for "VibeShort scam" are about spending and cancelling, not fraud.
Where the money risks are
- One plan name, several prices. "Weekly Pass Pro" is listed at $4.99, $9.99 and $19.99. Read the amount on your payment screen.
- No refunds on coins. The recharge agreement says "refunds or changes will not be entertained unless the product/service is unusable" [5].
- 18+. VibeShort isn't meant for teenagers under its own terms.
Seven checks before you pay any short drama app
- Who publishes it?A named developer on the official store listing, not a link from a social post.
- How many ratings?A 4.9 from 200 ratings means less than a 4.7 from 200,000.
- What is the billing period?Weekly, monthly or yearly: it is on the purchase sheet, read it before you confirm.
- Does it renew by itself?Subscriptions renew until you cancel with Apple or Google.
- What does one unlock cost?Turn coins into money before you spend them.
- Is there a free route?Free episodes, bonuses or ads: see how far they really get you.
- Does the age rating fit?Stores rate these apps from 13+ to 18+; check who will watch.

How to cancel VibeShort
The listing says to manage or cancel your subscription "by going to your Apple ID account settings > Subscriptions" [1]. Deleting the app cancels nothing.
Where to tap to cancel
iPhone and iPad
- Settings
- Your name, at the top
- Subscriptions
- The app’s subscription
- Cancel Subscription
Android
- Play Store
- Profile picture, top right
- Payments & subscriptions
- Subscriptions
- The app’s subscription
- Cancel subscription
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. On iPhone you may have to scroll to see the button, and an expiration message in red means it is already cancelled. Can’t find it? On iPhone, look for the Apple receipt in your email to see which Apple Account paid; on Android it may be on another Google account, so switch accounts in the Play Store.
Sources: Apple Support, Google Play Help. Menu labels can change slightly between versions.
On iPhone
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then VibeShort.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
No cancel button, or an expiry date in red, means it's already cancelled [6].
On Android
Google Play, profile icon, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, VibeShort, Cancel subscription [7].
Phone number, email and "not showing up"
VibeShort doesn't list a phone number; the listing gives [email protected] [1]. If the subscription doesn't appear in your settings, check you're signed in with the Apple or Google account that paid: your email receipt tells you which.
What happens when, on a weekly plan
- Day 1: you subscribeA weekly plan renews by itself every 7 days until you cancel it.
- At least 24 hours before renewal: cancelThat is the deadline the ReelShort listing gives, and Apple says the same for free trials.
- After cancelling: you keep what you paid forAccess runs to the end of the period. Google’s example: a yearly plan bought on January 1 and cancelled on July 1 stays active until December 31.
- Coins: cancelling is not a refundCancelling stops future charges. What happens to coins you already bought depends on each app’s terms.

Refunds
Store purchases are refunded, if at all, by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play [8][7]. VibeShort's own recharge agreement doesn't offer refunds except when a product is unusable [5]. Cancel first, so the next renewal doesn't go through.

VibeShort compared with other apps

Another AI option: TotalShort
We make TotalShort, so we're not neutral, and we have something in common with VibeShort: our series are made with AI too. The difference is in how it's done and sold:
- Every series carries an "AI Series" label and lists the tools used, on its own page.
- The stories are set in Italy, on Lake Como, in Puglia, Milan and Ortigia, with Italian dialogue and subtitles.
- The first 8 episodes of every series are free in the browser, then 1 free episode a day per series.
- An episode costs 30 coins (€0.30); coins never expire, and every unlock asks you to confirm.
- One VIP price: €5.99 a week or €59.99 a year.
The arithmetic of finishing a TotalShort series
- 8 episodes
- freeevery series
- Episodes 9–12
- 4 × 30 coins= 120 coins = €1.20
- Or the free daily episode
- 1 per series per dayfree in 4 days
- VIP break-even
- €5.99 ÷ €0.30≈ 20 paid episodes a week
Coins are worth €0.01 each. Prices of coin packs and VIP are shown in the app before every purchase. They are in euros; on the US App Store the weekly VIP is set at $5.99, and the store always shows your country’s price before you pay.
The limit is plain: 4 series, against VibeShort's large catalog. Try episode 1 of The Ex-Wife or The Heiress in an Apron, free, no sign-up.
Common mistakes
Saving bonus coins
They expire. Use them, or don't count on them.
Reading only the cheapest weekly price
The listing shows $4.99, but the description's own plan is $19.99 a week. Your screen decides.
Deleting the app to stop the pass
The subscription lives in your Apple or Google account.
Expecting a refund on coins
The recharge agreement rules it out unless the product doesn't work.
Frequently asked questions
Is VibeShort AI-generated?
Yes. VibeShort's App Store listing calls it "an AI-powered short-drama app" with "AI-generated tales with cinematic visuals", and its terms have a dedicated section on AI-generated content. The app also offers interactive, comic-style stories alongside short dramas and reels. If you're looking for AI dramas, that's what it offers; if you'd rather avoid them, it's not the app for you. TotalShort's series are made with AI as well, and we label every one.
Is VibeShort legit?
Yes. It's published by Agile Quadrant Media Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, with terms of service, a privacy policy, a payment agreement and a support email, and it has 46,267 ratings averaging 4.7 on the US App Store. It only launched in February 2026, so its track record is short. The risks are about money: weekly passes that renew automatically, several prices for the same plan, bonus coins that expire and no refunds on coins.
How much does VibeShort cost?
On the US App Store (6 October 2026), the Weekly Pass Pro is listed at $4.99, $9.99 and $19.99, one-time purchases at $3.49 and $19.99, and the description names a Yearly Pro Pass at $149.99. In Italy the weekly pass is €9.99 or €22.99. Four weeks at $19.99 cost $79.96; at that price the yearly pass is cheaper from the eighth week. The listing doesn't say who sees which weekly price, so check the payment screen.
How do I cancel VibeShort?
On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, VibeShort, Cancel Subscription, as the listing itself says. On Android: Google Play, profile icon, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, VibeShort, Cancel subscription. Deleting the app does nothing. Turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends; you keep the pass until then. The website doesn't sell passes, so there's nothing to cancel there.
Does VibeShort have a phone number?
No phone number is listed on the App Store page, the terms or the website. The support address on the listing is [email protected]. You don't need them to cancel: Apple and Google manage the subscription, and you can cancel in your phone's settings in under a minute. Write to support for problems with coins or episodes.
Is VibeShort free?
Partly. The download is free, the first episodes are free, and the website plays the first 6 episodes of the series we checked. You can also earn bonus coins, but they expire. Beyond that you need coins or a pass, and the free app shows ads: the terms say a subscription removes them, except ads you choose to watch for rewards.
Can I get a refund from VibeShort?
Ask the store you paid: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google through Google Play's order history; the store decides. VibeShort's recharge agreement says refunds "will not be entertained unless the product/service is unusable". Cancel the subscription first so it doesn't renew while you wait.
